Our Co-working space is situated on the first floor of the Minories, a former Tudor mansion located in the heart of Colchester’s city centre. The Minories is famously known for its art gallery, hosting regular exhibitions and events helping to bring the community together. In addition to this, nestled in the beautiful garden, is ‘The Commons‘ a community-owned co-operative cafe, serving up great food made from local produce.
Our studio comprises four rooms including; our office space, a meeting room, a relaxed working area and a light and airy garden room which contains full-sized desks and ergonomic chairs. We currently have two types of memberships for co-working. Our Community Membership is designed for people who may need to use the space for one or two visits a month and/or want the community benefits of being a member. There is also an Unlimited Membership designed for people who want to use the space whenever they like within our opening hours, ideal for someone looking for a welcoming and friendly place to work at least once a week. The core offer listed below are available to all members and you will have the option to switch between each membership if you wish.

High-Speed Internet
Access to super-high-speed wifi courtesy of the good folks over at Colchester Fibre. Speeds to up to 1000MB up/down with a back up 100MB line!
Meeting Rooms
We have priority access to spaces within the minories to hire if required for meetings with visitors.
Mixed-use areas
Whether you’re more comfortable in bustling open spaces, quiet corners, or outside in the garden, we have a spot for you.
Member Events
Invites to member events including a summer and xmas party as well as invites to other local creative events.
Refreshment Bar
Free tea and pod coffee, along with access to cooled filtered water for the summer months, are available in our little kitchenette.
Membership Discounts
We offer membership to The Commons cafe which includes 10% discount, located here at The Minories, along with other discounts for local venues.
Member Socials
Invites to social gatherings including breakfast club, team lunches and occasional after work drinks.
Central Location
Our studio space is located at the bottom of Colchester high street, just minutes to shops, cafes and public transport links.

We want the space to have an atmosphere but not be too busy that members don’t have a space to work; we will be experimenting with this balance. We welcome any feedback and will be developing the space and the offer to members collaboratively.
