Welcome, Tommy!

As our team continues to evolve, we’re thrilled to introduce Tommy Steward, the latest creative force to join Creative Coop as Senior Designer. Tommy brings a wealth of design expertise and a passion for illustration, branding, digital design and storytelling. To help you get to know him a bit better, we made him a coffee, sat him down and fired away questions.

What type of projects/clients do you like working on most?

I love working on branding projects where there’s room to explore bold, unique ideas. I’m particularly drawn to projects with a strong narrative or purpose—something that causes an emotional reaction and at minimum smashes the clients goal. Anything involving illustration or mascots is also a huge win for me!

What inspired you to join Creative Coop?

The ethos of Creative Coop was a no brainer —collaboration, fairness, and creativity all wrapped up in one shiny package. The idea of being part of a co-op, where everyone has a say and shares in shaping the business, really resonated with me. I’m excited to stick my oar in and share my experiences to help evolve CC!

What’s a piece of art or design you wish you could own?

‘Pat the dog’ The big white dog sculpture that lives in the background of Joey’s apartment (from the TV Series Friends, in case you haven’t watched all 10 series 100 times), it brings the charm of a pet but without the messy maintenance.

It’s your turn to organise the Christmas Party. What’s the plan?

I’m all about nerding out, so I’d book us a retro cinema for a private screening of some classic films (think anything 90s – Wayne’s world, Dumb and Dumber, Jurassic Park), complete with unlimited snacks and ugly Christmas jumpers roulette.

Quickfire round!
  • Tea or coffee? Coffee til I die. Death to decaf.
  • Favourite movie? True Romance
  • Last thing you cooked: Cinnamon Rolls
  • A life hack: Use Chat GBT for bespoke recipes, its a game changer
Any last words?

Life’s about the journey, live for today — essentially order that takeaway today.

We’re thrilled to have Tommy on board and can’t wait for you to experience his creativity firsthand. Keep an eye out for his work, and if you catch him in The Minories garden, ask him about his unique nerdy collections.
