Brief:
Create a brand and website for Essex University's learning partnership initiative.

EIRA is led by Essex University, in partnership with six other universities around England, providing businesses with specialist academic facilities, consultancy, collaborative research and –most crucially– funding.

EIRA brings together universities all over the country fostering an environment contributing to one another in the form of research, facilities, and knowledge about all areas relating to artificial intelligence, biotechnology and digital creativity.

We were given a blank canvas to create a brand mark, promotional materials and website. We kicked off with a brand workshop with the EIRA team and explored some of their initial ideas, goals and general perception. We created a strong, simple brand and design system which helped them to segment off their 3 key areas.

We created a simple WordPress site featuring information, news and events, with an easy-to-manage backend for the client to manage and update independently.

We also created printed materials including an informational brochure to funnel people through to the website.

We rounded out the project with a set of brand guidelines enabling the EIRA team to take the brand forward themselves and produce future material in-house.
